WHO WE ARE
YOGI is the abbreviation of Youth Orientation Group International and the logo is formed by the letters of this abbreviation. It gives the impression of a person who raises his hands towards heaven in a sitting posture.
The word yogi denotes a person who works earnestly or does the tapas, to attain a higher goal. Therefore, the symbol of a man in praying posture reveals this aspiration.
YOGI comes from the Sanskrit word yoga which means union – union with the nature, fellowmen and the Absolute. Therefore, it reminds us to dedicate all our God given abilities for the betterment of oneself, his fellowmen and nature.
In short whoever believes in the values put forward by YOGI can proudly claim that I AM A YOGI.
